What does diocesan communication entail? At its core, it is pastoral communication aimed at fostering genuine communities both online and offline. This approach requires developing systems and processes that promote co-responsibility and participation, ultimately cultivating an environment oriented toward the church’s mission. Developing a diocesan communication strategy begins by critically evaluating standard key performance indicators used by other organizations in relation to the diocese’s pastoral objectives. For example, should diocesan communication be measured as a successful influencer or as accompanying others effectively? How can communication systems build trust and collaboration, which leads to unity and a welcoming church?
